There are only two news reports, published the day after discovery, available about Power's murder. | No other info or updates were found about Power, both in death and in life. Unclear what job he held. | His home was lavish and expensive, in a uniquely built secluded neighborhood north of a large golf club. | Years after his death, around Xmas 2001, the home caught fire and was badly damaged, then demolished. | Power was described as reclusive by those who knew him before he died. He had little friends or family. |

From the TulsaWorld, 4/9/1974: "Suburban OC Man Apparently Slain"
"The body of a 66 year old suburban Forest Park man was found in his home Monday,
and police said he apparently had been murdered about two months ago.
He was identified as Walter Roy Power. An electrical cord was wrapped around Power's neck.
A policeman discovered the body after being called to the scene by Cecil Soerries,
of Bethany, Oklahoma, Power's son in law. Soerries and his wife had gone to Power's home
after they failed to make contact with him several times since February."
